Solutions for this industry

Returnable trays
Built for repeated trips between areas of your plant, or between supplier and customer.

Process and automation trays
Precise part positioning for production lines, robots, and vision systems, including robot-ready matrix trays.

ESD trays
Conductive or static dissipative, in the appropriate ESD class for your application.
What OEMs require
- Pack density
- Fit in standard packaging: KLT bins (small load carriers), racks, or OEM containers
- Return cycle
- Damage-free parts at the line
From supplier to OEM, with parts protected
- Sized for your box: fits KLT bins, racks, or OEM-standard packaging.
- Returnable: designed to move between plant departments and between supplier and customer, cycle after cycle.
- No metal-to-metal contact: individual cavities prevent scratches, dings, and deformation in machined, stamped, die-cast, painted, or finished parts.
- Technical cleanliness: smooth, washable plastic instead of cardboard, with no residue on the part.
Inside the plant and between companies
At Termotray, the same engineering team designs both the tray that moves between departments and the one that ships to the OEM.
More electronics in every vehicle
Electronics are expected to account for 45% of a vehicle's cost by 2030 (Deloitte), and electrified vehicle sales in Brazil grew 26% in 2025 (ABVE). With more sensors and modules in every vehicle, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection is gaining ground in the automotive industry too, for the components that require it.
Technical cleanliness with no cardboard on the line
The VDA 19.2 guideline identifies packaging as a source of particles. Smooth, washable thermoformed trays avoid this problem.
Application examples
For delicate stamped parts made from very thin sheet steel, the kind used in home appliances, the tray prevents deformation in transit and keeps the parts aligned for the assembly sequence.
For plastic or metal parts with a special paint finish that must not be scratched on the way to the customer, the tray holds each part without touching the finished surface. This prevents scratches and other contact damage and eliminates the need for layers of bags or protective fabric between parts.
For a connector with insulating resin oven-cured at 120 °C, the functional tray had to hold the product and also withstand the curing temperature. We specified the appropriate material for the application, and the tray did both jobs.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The tray is sized for your box and fits KLT bins, racks, or OEM-standard packaging.
Cardboard can be a problem on the line. The VDA 19.2 guideline identifies packaging as a source of particles. Smooth, washable plastic trays replace cardboard without leaving residue on the part.
