Layered protection

  • Layer 1, tray: organizes and positions the contents.
  • Layer 2, inner insert: holds the component away from the edges.
  • Layer 3, lid: closes, locks, and protects against dust and impact.

Loose lid or snap-lock lid

Termotray offers both. A loose lid is used when the tray above already covers the one below. A snap-lock lid holds the part without marking it and is recommended for shipping and more demanding handling. Application examples include automotive boards and connectors, as well as very light microcomponents.

From Tier 1 supplier to final assembler

When a supplier makes a component and ships it to the company that builds the final product, the tray has to protect the part in transit and be easy to dispose of or return. The tray specification accounts for the entire use cycle, from transport through final assembly.

Clear when inspection matters

Clear thermoformed inserts and blisters let you see the part without opening the package.

Single-part blisters

A blister protects each high-value component individually.
